Claim to Fame: Aside from being one of the most extensive cave systems in the United States,
there's the bats. Mexican Freetail bats inhabit the cave during the warm spring, summer and early fall
months. At dusk, the colony of over 300,000 bats takes anywhere from 20 minutes to two hours to exit the
cavern. Park Rangers off nightly presentations about the bats as visitors watch this amazing wonder from
the park's amphitheater.

Enjoy Carlsbad Caverns Safely:
- Stay on the paved trail
- Supervise children closely
- Wear a jacket
- Ask Park Rangers for help
- Strollers not permitted, use child-carrying backpacks
- Leave your pet in the kennel, not your car
We ask that you:
- Avoid touching the cave formations; the oils on your hands waterproof and stain them
- Refrain from taking gum, candy, food or drinks into the cave
- Don't use tobacco in the cave
- Do not throw coins or other objects into the pools

Where's Dorko: Carlsbad Edition
Jan 28 -
You asked for it, you've got it! Actually, no one asked, but who cares? It's been nearly a hundred days since we last played Where's Dorko. You already know the rules, so we made it even harder for you experts. Now hop to it!
Can you see her? Click on her if you can! (This one's pretty easy.)
Uh oh, she must be somewhere. But where?
Gosh oh gosh! I can't find her anywhere. Can you?
Watch it! This is a tricky one!
Oh, you'll never find her in this one...
Think you're smart, do you? Well, here's a bonus picture. The original Dorko is hiding somewhere below.
Where could he be?
Yay! Thanks again for another great game! You did your part, you sure are smart! With me and you and
my dog Blue we can do anything that we want to do. See you next time!
